All your guns

The Brave Response Holster’s patent pending pocket design has been carefully developed and tested to be able to accommodate all semi automatic handguns. So whether you are a Sig or a Glock or a Springfield or a Smith and Wesson, or any brand of 1911 or any of the other brands of handgun out there… (seriously, we took it to cabelas, and Scheels and we made sure we put EVERY SINGLE semi auto in it before we did anything else) Your handgun will fit perfectly in this holster. Our founders carry the Glock 27 double stack, Glock 42 single stack, Kimber 1911, Walther P99, FNX Tactical 45, SIG P226 Blackwater Edition, and H&K P30 all interchangeably in the same holster. We have found many Revolvers to be able to fit as well, (however, we have found that the large frame revolvers like the K frames and the Pythons do not fit) we will be developing a more extensive list of revolvers that do and don’t fit here in the coming months.

All your uniforms

The Brave Response Holster is self contained and you will find it is comfortably worn with gym shorts, jeans, slacks, a kilt, whatever…. Our founder wears just his holster and skivvies in his waders fly fishing in the river. It is truly here to cater to your specific brand of crazy as it does his.

All the time

NO KYDEX, your body flexes and bends and sweats and moves. Kydex does not. Leather Does not. CCW holsters are supposed to be comfortable. How is this even possible with Kydex and leather? The answer is, it’s not… Kydex and leather are for OWB holsters. The Brave Response Holster is designed to fit close to the body and leave as little an impression as possible. We built this holster to provide a comfort barrier between you and the gun, while making sure not to add bulk. Our beta testers have been carrying full size handguns and extra mags with no printing and maximal comfort so it can be worn while out and about or in and relaxing. We really think you will be surprised at how it feels as it is our goal to encourage law abiding citizens to carry more often as we never know when the wolf will be at the door.

Toughness

Tough but tender, The Brave Response Holster has been designed using the highest quality “Sharkskin” Canvas at its core for longevity, breatheability, comfort, and sturdiness. We use the highest quality “No Snag” Industrial Velcro that ensures you are not ruining your clothes but that the holster is securely held around your waist. The elastic waistband has been chosen to further the lightweight feel of the holster but with the strength to last you.

Versatility

The Brave Response Holster ships with an elastic waistband capable of fitting comfortably and securely on anyone with a 20″ – 55″ waist. This can be tucked if the holster is to be regularly worn by more than one person or the extra belt material can be removed and the edge of the belt singed with a lighter or match. The Brave Response Holster comes with removable retention strap. If you like retention – use it, if not- remove it. The Brave Response Holster is capable of carrying up to 3 magazines in addition to the one in the gun itself can also use any mag pocket for most small flashlights and pocket knives Because the Brave Response Holster can carry such a wide variety of handguns, you can get rid of the box of holsters and have one holster that is right for you and all your handguns.

Breathable

NO LEATHER, Leather does not breathe now, it didn’t breathe when it was skin. Skin is designed for keeping liquids and other stuff inside the body. Our holster is designed to breathe. That way you can breathe, your gun can breathe, everyone can breathe, and that makes life comfortable. No more taking off your sopping wet leather and metal and hard plastic holster. You’ll find this holster keeps you much cooler as a result of less weight, less bulk and the most durable breatheable fabrics on the planet.

Fluidity of training

We are a defensive training company first and foremost. Our students include private citizens, Military, law enforcement, and private armed security forces. This holster was built to enable you to protect your life. In a defensive situation you will lose the ability to perform fine motor skills so building a holster that is safe and comfortable for the 99.9999% of the time that you carry and effective and ready for that 1 in 300,000 chance of being a victim of violent crime. The patent pending pocket on the holster positions your firearm in a forward cant position to replicate your outside the waistband training holster that you wear to the range. This will aid you in a defensive situation as most of our students have never drawn from concealed until they are on the range with us. The Brave Response Holster will imitate the feel of your OWB training holster and enable you to have a faster response to an imminent threat. The forward cant also facilitates a clean and smooth draw with no hang ups or snags. Retention is removable at your discretion. The retention has been designed to instantly break away as you slide into shooters grip before the draw. The retention is hidden behind the gun in the perfect place for you to disengage it, but will maximize your ability to retain the weapon on your hip.

Just got mine for this weekend. It’s nice not having your gun hanging on your pants. Much nicer than other belly bands I’ve had before.

Got my Brave Response holster today. Wanted to tell you that it is everything I expected and more. Fits my RIA full size .45, ATI Fatboy .45, and even my Ruger Mark III bull barrel equally well. Extremely comfortable, outside or inside the pants. Great product.

I received my holster yesterday. It is easily the best concealed carry holster around. My Steyr, which is a very large 9mm pistol, fit into the holster perfectly. It is unbelievably comfortable. After a while you don’t even realize that you are wearing it. I highly recommend this holster. It is well worth the price. Great job Brave Response!!

This holster is incredible. You don’t even realize you have it on. I have a para 1911 elite officer which I carry daily and nobody realizes I am even carrying. I have worn it with just a tank top and shorts with no problem. This is going to be the third one I purchased 2 for me 1 for my daughters boyfriend. Well worth the investment. A definite must have.

Incredible barely describes this holster. I don’t even realize I have it on. I carry a para 1911 elite officer daily with 2 extra magazines. Wore with tank top and shorts and nobody realized I had it on. I have ordered a total of 3, 2 for me 1 for my daughters boyfriend. A definite must have. Absolutely no regrets.

This thing is great!! I’m a big guy, 6’1″ 350 lbs and I live in Mississippi where I can wear shorts 10 months out of the year. That’s what’s great about this thing, there is no need for a belt. There’s no excuses why you can not to carry anymore. It will carry my little sig 938, my HK VP9 or my 1911, just depends on what mood I’m in that day. Got to brag on the customer service a little too. I did have a little issue with my holster, I contacted them about it, sent a picture and they said it’s covered send it back. They issued me another holster. That’s good business in my book. Can’t go wrong with this!!

    :

I received my holster Monday, 11-30-15. After a bit of trial and error I found the best position for me to wear the holster. I have a Ruger P-95 and a Hi-Point C-9 and both fit and ride in this holster very nicely and comfortably. I did find tho that if I loaded all three mag holders it was a bit heavy for me. This isn’t a problem with the holster it’s a problem with me. I made a double mag holder for the C-9 that fits into my pocket which I use. I’m in the process of making a double for the P-95 seeing as they are double stack mags. I’ve been wearing this holster every day since getting it and love it! There are even times I don’t know I’m wearing it. I’ve been practicing drawing an unloaded gun so I can get used to doing it in a situation that might come up. I’m 69 years old and wanted a holster that would comfortably carry my larger pistols and this is the one.

Thank You For A Great Product! I’m telling everyone I know who carries about it.

I will reserve comment for now except to say be prepared to buy new trousers unless the ones you own are already 2″ too large in the waist!

    • :

John, Thanks for the review, being that this is an Inside the Waistband holster it is going to take up some room inside your waistband. The good news is that due to its construction and materials and design it’ll take up less room than any other holster out there and help the gun conform better to your body than any other holster out there.

Product is made from quality materials and I like the idea of being able to carry extra magazines or flashlight in same holster. It is comfortable however my issue with the holster is it is difficult to get my firearm back in the holster once I have drawn it out. I tried with and without the strap. I found myself needing to point my firearm in towards my body to open the slot enough to get it started. I believe this to be a bit unsafe. I tried to find information about this before ordering but information on this holster seems to be scarce.
This issue and no return policy is why I gave this product 3 stars.

    • :

Rick, thanks for the review, included in the Holster packaging is a half sheet of paper, just crack that baby open for full color instructions on how to get the gun back into the Holster without pointing it at yourself. Also on that paper is information about our warranty and and return policy. Additionally, there have been a number of reviews posted on YouTube by third parties that also cover this information and will help you figure things out. If any of that helps you out we’d appreciate an update of your rating. Thanks for your business Rick.

    Brandon,
Thanks for the response. I looked on youtube and found about 4 maybe 5 reviews of this holster. None did a good job of addressing the issue of reholstering the firewarm.
I do apologise I misplaced the paper that came with the product so I was not able to read anything about your return policy. Your website doesn’t seem to list anything about it. That is my fault not yours I suppose. However It would have been nice to find that information on your website. Possibly I missed it but I don’t think so.
Anyway it is not well over that time period, no big deal. At least other will know in the future.

This the best holster I have ever bought hands down. I wear athletic shorts or sweatpants most of time so this is an absolute life saver. one thousand times better and more comfortable than the Belly Band system. Wears strong and supportive like a normal waistband. Has held up well so far, to say I am pleased would be an understatement. Thanks Brave Response.

Believe me I was skeptical! But, this is by far the best holster I own. All of my guns from my CM9 to my Taurus 38 snubbie fit flawlessly! Very comfortably also! I would give this holster 10 stars if I could! The thumb snap will take some getting used to with practice drawing but is not a huge deal for me – I still stand by my rating.

    FIVE STARS
I am new to daily concealed carry. Like most new conceal carriers I have been buying and trying out several different types of holsters to figure out what was going to work for me. I tried several different “top rated” holsters and while each had their benefits and drawbacks, none of them were THE holster that was comfortable and versatile enough to wear everyday in any situation with any clothes. Then I stumbled on the Brave Response Holster and could tell almost immediately that this was the right holster for me. I can appendix carry comfortably (or 4 or 6 o’clock works great too), I can wear it with any pant type (with or without a belt), and I can draw quickly. I also love the fact that I can carry an extra magazine and barely notice it. I’ve been carrying everyday for a few weeks now and the BRH is just the perfect holster for me. Great job!

I can’t express enough how much I love this holster. It is absolutely what I have been looking for since I have started carrying my CCW. I come from a law enforcement family and have been carrying since I came of age a few years ago. As a college athlete I wear shorts most of the time, for comfort more than anything, this holster makes my weapon much safer and on my person instead the backpack it was relegated to in the summer months…. You guys need to get some apparel (tshirts and hats) online for purchase, your logo is mature yet very appealing, I would be a customer. MARKET THIS MORE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT!!!!!!
P.S. I have recommended this holster to every Indiana State Trooper in our district and the other agencies as well. Best of Luck to you and Your company!!

Blessed with the typical American Male figure of some gut and no butt, I found that belt-clip style holsters just were not a good fit for me. The waistline protrusion was noticeable and sitting down had the gun digging into my side/rear. So I heard about these Brave Response Holsters and decided that if I were going to wear a gun, I could only do so comfortably, and took a chance on this style. I can say that it is the best holster investment I’ve made. Although billed as a belly-band style holster, I found that it works even better as a chest-band holster, which is how I wear it. It doesn’t sag my gut helps hold it in place. But best is that my gun is now up under may arm where it can’t be seen and is SO much more comfortable a spot for it than my waist. I’ve worn it around town for months now and often don’t even notice that I’m wearing it. And apparently no one else does either! It’s so versatile in placement that it really is the last holster you ever need to buy. Thank you for the great product.

    :

Like lots of guys I own SEVERAL IWB holsters that I just don’t like. For various reasons they just don’t work for me. My biggest complaint with them is that they always pull my pants down. Always.

On Sunday, April 25th, 2016 I had my first chance to try out my new Brave Response holster. I wore it this day under my jeans loaded with a Kimber .380. My pants stayed up!
I busied myself with yard work for an hour or so when a neighbor asked for help with a riding mower. I wound up having to clean the mower’s carburetor. In doing that I was involved for a couple of hours, up and down on the concrete floor, even occasionally lying down so as to reach hidden parts. My pants stayed up, my firearm stayed concealed and comfortably in place.
I’m very happy with your product. Thanks!

    :

I’ve been wearing this holster for a couple of weeks. It’s very comfortable. I wear a T-shirt underneath and the holster over it. I like to carry deep at the 5 O’clock position so I like the flexibility that not having a belt clip offers.

The outside portion of the retention strap is velcroed in so I removed it. Doesn’t make sense to use it IMHO. I agree with other comments that strong side mag carriers aren’t as useful. I would like to see the size reduced by removing the material used for the mag carrier and have it offered as a Velcro-in option for the weak side. Kinda take-it-or-leave it style. That would make for less body contact from the holster on the strong side while still offering a more useful mag carrier.

I’m new to conceal carry so my input is strictly from my limited experience, but I know what comfortable feels like. I can wear this holster all day. I’ve even worn it on a 3 hour car ride without any discomfort.

It could use some improvement in design, but I really like it. It’s well worth the money

  20. 5 out of 5

    :

I love the holster. Its comfortable and it fits every pistol I have. My only critique would be the location of the extra mags pouches. They are strong side which is not conducive for quick reloading. Hopefully there will be a fix for this in the future.

    (verified owner):

So I’ve been wearing mine outdoors for about a week now. It’s been 100+ degrees here in Oklahoma and we have a lot of damned humidity. So I was worried about it starting to smell. It doesn’t! That’s a plus for being a fabric holster. I’m a smaller framed guy, so printing is pretty much a guarantee for me. Kydex sucked. Leather sucked. Cheap neoprene holsters sucked. Plus, I really don’t like wearing a belt when I don’t absolutely have to. So! Onto the review. By the way, I carry an FNS 9C.
    Comfort – definitely very comfortable
    Printing – remarkably minimal
Feel of it – not weird at all. I was concerned with the band going around my waist but I really don’t feel it anymore than I do my boxers.
Retention – my other concern and still is because, with it not being anchored, the holster rides up more than I like when I draw the pistol. Maybe I just need more practice and I plan on practicing more for sure. So in short, great retention.
Size – I feel like there should be an option to purchase one with 3, 2, 1 or 0 mag holsters to cut down on the size of it. It is just a bit big, it could be smaller in my own personal opinion.

Over all! No real complaints with it! I finally found a holster I like. I actually carry my gun everywhere I go now! Maybe in the future Brave Response will offer the magazine pouch options (hint hint) and perhaps some feed back on drawing the weapon without the holster riding up, mostly when in gym shorts, mind you. Not so much jeans. Very happy though, with my purchase! Great holster. Well done.

    :

After repeatedly hearing about this thing on the concealed carry podcast, I decided to take the plunge and buy one. I have been using it for a couple months now and I have to say this is by far the best holster I have ever used to date. I can wear it with anything, or nothing for that matter, and I hardly even notice it is there. It is also extremely convenient, like Brandon says, for those times when you have to use the toilet, not only does it keep the gun accessible and safe by simply pulling it up on your chest, it doubles a place to tuck your shirt into, which keeps it up and out of the way, and off the toilet bits as well! There is only one draw back I have found, and that is, if for instance you are forced to enter a “gun free zone” like a hospital etc… the only way you can remove the gun is to either unstrap it completely or remove the gun from the holster. Whereas with a small leather/kydex holster that clips over the belt you can easily remove the gun, with the holster for such occasions. That said this is my go to holster for every day carry, and it’s not even close. For those times I know I will be forced to enter a “gun free zone” I’ll use my clip on IWB, and deal with it’s uncomfortable fit until I can get home and switch back into this thing.

  23. 1 out of 5

    (verified owner):

This holster is extremely comfortable. However, I find that the pants and belt slide up over the grip making the grip not accessible, especially with small pistols like the Walther PK 380. Tightening your pants belt enough to prevent that makes it much less comfortable.

  24. 4 out of 5

    :

After reading about your holster, I decided to invest the money and try your product. I have to say that so far, I am pleased. The only thing I would add is a tab that would extend between the body and the trigger and spoon of the safety grip of the 1911 pistol which would prevent them from digging into the side.

    – I’ve been wearing an Alien Gear IWB holster for several months now for my Beretta Model 84 Cheetah 380 acp. At 23 ounces empty, it’s a great gun for everyday carry, but when I’ve carried heavier guns, it was always a struggle keeping my pants up.
    – This Brave Response holster is a departure from the old way of supporting the weight of a gun. It also fits all of my larger heavier guns without any issues. Now, the weight of the gun is spread out over the entire elastic waist band. I can even wear jogging pants or athletic shorts and it’s a snap.
    – This is definitely my first choice in everyday carry for any gun I want to carry…and all I need is ONE holster! Amazing…

I have a box full of holsters that I have accumulated of the years, so great, some not so much. One consistency is they are made for specific guns. I even tried other belly band holsters and found them to be useful. I finally decided to breakdown and try the Brave Response holster. I have only had it for a few days now, but can tell already this is my new EDC holster. It is very comfortable. There is no roll over like the other bellyband holsters I had tried. There is no huge weight tugging on my belt. It can be worn with anything from dress pants, to jeans, to sweat pants. It will also hold all my other possible carries. One holster for all. That is perfect! It appears to be very well made. I like the material and also like the material used in the area next to my skin. Great Holster! It The only change I would suggest is to have both retention straps removable. My main EDC has a grip safety and I don’t use the strap. The holster has great retention without the straps. Love the holster!

  27. 4 out of 5

    (verified owner):

The holster is constructed well and is comfortable to wear. If you carry in the appendix position, you may find that the cant to the weak side makes the draw a bit difficult. I suggest that an appendix model be offered with the cant being neutral or just slightly to the strong side.

I just got my holster yesterday. I slipped my S&W Shield and one mag in the belt and wore it around the house with my sweatpants and T-shirt on. My wife never noticed it until I lifted up my shirt to show her.
    My comments:
    1. I’m an old, fat guy who has a box full of IWB and OWB holsters for either a Glock 42 or my Shield. Some are comfortable for awhile and some are not comfy at all. This holster is great for both weapons AND it’s comfortable. I can slide it around my waist so it doesn’t poke me in my side when I’m sitting and slide it around when I’m walking.
    2. I like the fact that I can carry at least one extra mag.
    3. This is NOT a quick draw holster!

    Love the holster 🙂

    :

Best holster I own. Love the fact that I’m not constantly tugging at my pants to keep the up. My job requires a dress shirt and slacks. With a full size 1911 at 30 ozs., it was hard to find the right holster that I could tuck in my shirt and not have to blouse my shirt to hide the belt clips. Not now! This holster works perfect! Buy one-you will it.

Hate to be redundant but I to am fully satisfied with this holster as well, it is very comfortable and durable. I carry an extra mag and a flashlight without even noticing they are there. This was what I was looking for hands down. Thank you!

People who have the audacity to rate this holster anything less than 5 stars are manchilds who like to ‘play’ concealed carry. This is one of the best holsters I have ever worn – and I do wear it, in everything, whether it be gym shorts or jeans. Ignore every complaint that some ‘reviewers’ have made. I know that many of my personal friends (police, standard military, and special forces) wear this holster day in and day out and are nothing but pleased. 5 stars. Anything less in asinine.

    :

I bought one of these holsters for my daily carrying. I have been suspicious of the efficiency and quality of in-waist band holsters but this is perfect. I can even wear it under a knit polo shirt without it printing. You can add a Firestar .45 ACP to your list of guns that it will accommodate. It is very comfortable and stays in place – the velcro waistband is absolutely ideal for this purpose. Unless you have some elasticity on your pants, you will need a larger waist size. I had to go from 36″ to 38″ on my Wrangler jeans, but the 36″ ones were getting a little tight anyway. It works fine with all of my other pants that I have tried so far. I have been shooting for over 60 years and spent 30 years on active duty in the Army so I have some experience. It gets 5 stars from me! As far as I am concerned, this is the best holster on the market.

I bought this about a month ago, and I am so pleased with it. When I take it off after wearing it for close to 14 hours, there is no sweat, there even is no dampness after those 14 hours! There is one con I have noticed. I have a Springfield .45, and the grip rubs on my skin after awhile, which makes it uncomfortable. I use a small microfiber cloth under the grip with no further problems. Is there a way to extend the fabric up from the handgun part to prevent any rubbing on bare skin? I drive for a living so this is important to me. Other than this little thing this holster still gets 5 stars

      David,
I’m really glad you love the holster, we always love hearing feedback from our customers so that we can continually tweak it to make it the best it can be. As firearms instructors we found that the hardest part of designing this holster was making it both extremely comfortable and reliable for a defensive high stress draw of the firearm if you ever had to use it. One of our original prototypes actually had some material that came up in between the grip and the shooter and we had nothing but problems with it. The material could only be the right size for a few certain guns which wasn’t right for our design being able to fit all semi automatic pistols. But the main reason we decided to go with a combat style grip was because no matter what gun we tested the draw with, 9 times out of 10 we would grab that piece of material with the gun and it severely hindered the draw. I am a big guy and the idea of adding extra layers to my wardrobe isn’t very appealing especially in the summer, but I found the tank tops from Duluth Trading Company to be a perfect undershirt that breathes and protects my skin from the grip of the firearm. As always we have to make certain concessions when we decide to arm ourselves and we decided that a safe and quick draw was more important in the long run. Thanks again for the feedback and please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have been wearing mine for quite some time now – a bit over a year. Quality of the product is second to none, have had almost no issues with it. My only small issue is I wish the elastic bands were a bit wider, for me that would distribute the weight a little better – my EDC rig is a Taurus 709 slim, 2 extra mags, a micro flashlight and a knife. I can wear this day in and day out with suits to shorts, I highly recommend an undershirt between it and your skin for added comfort. I am left handed and I have found for extended drives I can easily rotate my pistol in the holster for a cross draw situation while driving.
As for peoples issue with extra mags on strong side I don’t know how you present your weapon but mine is always towards left of center (left handed) I then simply drop my right hand nearly straight down and presto there are my extra mags ready. With a little practice this will feel very natural and is actually less movement and distance then weak side mag carry.
As for the reholstering issue, One I never draw my weapon unless I plan on firing it and the need to quickly/easily reholster is not an issue, Two when I am training and plan on reholstering alot I simply wear it outside my pants, moving cover clothing and the draw remain the same.

When researching a holster I wanted something that’s comfortable for all day wear and after looking at other holsters where I would have to buy a gun belt in addition to the holster, I stumbled upon the Brave Response holster and all the reviews I have seen have been overwhelming positive. With your return policy and your warranty I thought I would give you guys a try. The ordering process and the shipping time was quite efficient and upon inspection of the holster this thing is built to last. I tried it on with with my Gen4 G23 it very comfortable. The ability to put this in the was is an added bonus! Once I get my CPL (which should be soon) I will add to this review as to the day to day comfort. I will also add that with your holster I don’t have to get bigger pants as it works and is very comfortable with my current pant size. And being made 100% in the Great U.S. of A and materials used are from Suppliers located in the United States is an over the top bonus!!

This holster can also be worn in a wide range of positions. OWB, IWB or appendix.

Oh, and as a side note I love the simplistic design. It’s very much patterned after the gun belts used in the old west. Just modernized for the 21st century.
